Systemic relations and systemic meanings of experiential adjectives in physical and spatial contexts
2013. № 1 (25), 41-69
Abstract:
The paper considers two types of experiential parameters: physical (hot water, a loud alarm clock) and spatial (a hot day, a noisy street). Adjectives describing spatial meanings receive different interpretations for physical as opposed to functional spaces: dark street = ‘night, no light’, a dark room = ‘day, insufficient light’.
