Abstract:

The article is devoted to the accentuation of the past passive participles of the nonproductive
class of verbs in Modern Standard Russian. Based on the data obtained in a series
of experiments, the paper discovers the main accentological regularities in the analyzed
forms, which can be explained by accent paradigm leveling and by convergence with participles
of regular accentological types. Besides, the results of the experiment are compared with
codified stress variants and the necessity of revising the norms in the orthoepic dictionaries is
pointed out.
