Derivational aspect of the verbs' alternation (o/a) in -yva-/-iva- formation in modern Russian literary language.

The article deals with the description of derivational factors which influence the realization of secondary imperfective forms in modern Russian literary language and produce the O/A alternation. The origin of the alternation depends on the character of the underlying stem and affixes. In accordance with the conception of the binary structure of derived words the influence of these factors is analyzed.
